Ladies from Harrogate Indoor Bowling Club enjoyed strong performances in the recent Yorkshire Champion of Champions competition, with both the singles and fours finishing as runners-up.

Judy Holroyde reached the singles final but was narrowly beaten by an opponent in great form on the day. In the fours, Olwyn Ray-Mathias, Marlene Laurence, Pauline Beecroft and Lesley Harris were just edged out after holding five shots on the 17th end, only for the Hornsea skip to deliver a brilliant final bowl to take shot and the match.
