Harrogate Indoor Bowling Club won the Yorkshire County over 55s Challenge Trophy for the very first time. Playing at New Earswick in a round robin tournament, Harrogate beat Doncaster, Hornsea and North Cave. It’s been an exceptional year for Harrogate men’s teams, winning the over 55’s Yorkshire challenge trophy, the Yorkshire Double Rinks challenge trophy, finishing second in the Yorkshire County challenge trophy ( losing by one point ), winning the Yorkshire over 55s league for the very time and gaining promotion to the Yorkshire County division one league. Well done to all those who played and thank you to those who helped sorting out the bacon butties and after match teas.
