Latest News from HIBC Men

In addition to the great success that the HIBC Ladies have had as of recent – the men too have had a great season! This has been one of HIBC’s most successful seasons to date.

The Men’s County League team have been promoted from Division 2 back into the top flight – Division 1 – this is an immediate comeback from last year’s relegation. In addition to our County League success, our Over 55’s Team have had a fantastic season winning the league unbeaten! A fantastic season for our men’s team. Additionally, the HIBC Men are now in the Double Rinks round-robin competition and the Challenge Cup.

Additionally, HIBC Men have had a great season in terms of Yorkshire Competition success with Jim Frith and Cameron Legate winning the Yorkshire Men’s Pairs County Champion of Champions down at Doncaster. As well as Thomas Bielby winning the Yorkshire Under 18 Singles at Selby.

When it comes to EIBA Nationals, the Harrogate Men have had a fantastic season with several of our members playing in the Yorkshire O55 team that have made it to the National Final of the O55 Liberty which will be played on the 8th of April down at Nottingham against Surrey. So a big congratulations to Dave Spillsbury, Dave Small, Ian Brickley, Steve Webster, Pete Darbyshire and others. Finally, Thomas Bielby is also in the last 16 of the EIBA National Under 18 Singles. So good luck to all that are going to Nottingham next month!
